About Us
Our team is our greatest asset.
Who We Are
Ethiopian Youth Environmental Awareness (EYEA) is a youth-led, non-profit organization established to promote environmental responsibility as a universal and shared practice. We engage young people and communities in addressing today’s most pressing environmental challenges through education, participation, and action.
We are guided by the conviction that living in harmony with nature should not remain an aspiration, but become a lived reality—one that protects the health of Mother Earth while supporting prosperity and well-being for present and future generations.

Our Journey
EYEA emerged from a shared concern about the growing environmental challenges affecting communities and future generations. What began as a small group of committed young people has evolved into a structured initiative dedicated to environmental awareness and community-based action.
Since 2021, EYEA has grown through volunteer engagement, grassroots initiatives, and partnerships. This journey has strengthened our capacity to empower youth and communities to take responsibility for environmental protection. Our development continues to be shaped by learning, collaboration, and a commitment to measurable and meaningful impact.
Our Philosophy
At EYEA, we refuse to turn a blind eye to the urgent environmental challenges of our time. Our work is grounded in responsibility toward people and the planet, and in the belief that awareness, solidarity, and action must go hand in hand.
We believe meaningful change occurs when hearts, minds, and collective will are aligned. Every contribution—no matter how small—plays a role in restoring balance and protecting the world we share.

Our People & Organisational Culture
EYEA is powered by a diverse network of committed volunteers who contribute their time, skills, and expertise to every initiative.
We measure impact not only through activities delivered, but through the trust built with communities and the positive change experienced by those we serve. Respect, inclusion, shared responsibility, and learning define how we work together.

Our Website
The EYEA website is designed to function as a key tool, perfectly aligned with the mission of the Ethiopia Youth Environmental Awareness Association. It acts as a central hub, propelling the organization's goal of turning youth and communities into proactive environmental stewards.
This platform promotes climate awareness, shares essential information, and encourages global cooperation to address major environmental challenges. It educates visitors, involves them in advocacy, and deepens their understanding of environmental issues, fostering a collective drive towards a more sustainable and ecologically conscious world. Ultimately, the EYEA website serves as a beacon of environmental empowerment, uniting individuals and communities in the crucial endeavor of preserving our planet for current and future generations.
